CREATIVE WRITING
Standing Proud LGBT+ Creative Writing Group meets weekly from 10.30 – 12 (ish) every Saturday morning on Zoom.
Standing Proud started in March 2020 as a ten-week project hosted by Holly Winter-Hughes and The Word Association. As the Covid-19 pandemic hit we transferred onto Zoom and kept writing. At the end of the ten weeks we had found it so beneficial that we wanted to continue and the group is still going and still welcoming new people.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Over the last few months of 2020 we focused a lot on producing our anthologies, our work for Hate Crime Awareness week and other projects but right now we are getting back to writing for the sheer joy of it…
We are keeping it a fluid, creative and supportive place for those interested in creative writing to drop in, get some writing prompts for inspiration, have some time and space to do some writing and share their words if they would like to.
So, if you’re thinking of (re)joining, now would be a great time… all welcome, no writing experience necessary.
STANDING PROUD ANTHOLOGY
During 2020 the Standing Proud group produced 2 anthologies:
Standing Proud (electronic anthology)
Rainbows Behind Glass – a Lockdown Anthology (electronic anthology)
RAINBOWS BEHIND THE GLASS
Both anthologies are available as printed copies – contact us if you would like to buy one.
